Alicia grew up in Montana and began her nursing career in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Montana State University, Bozeman while also commissioning as an Officer in the US Air Force through ROTC. She served in the Air Force for 8 years working in inpatient cardiology, a flight nurse overseas, and a deployment to Afghanistan. After the Air Force she worked in the Trauma ICU at Oklahoma University Medical Center. Ultimately she decided to pursue a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama with a dual certification in Family Practice and Acute Care. In her work as a nurse and training as a Nurse Practitioner she was always drawn to the pace and complexity of critical care. After completing her DNP Residency in the ICU in Las Vegas, NV, she joined TAHG in early 2019 to work with our team of Intensivists in the ICU. Although her & her husbands military careers have taken them all over the map, they are so excited to be settling down in an amazing place like Alaska to raise their two daughters and enjoy all things outdoors.
