I was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. At the age of 18 I joined the Israeli Defense Forces, where I was first introduced to medicine and eventually became a medic in the Israeli Air Force. After discharge, I moved to the US and embarked on a life of travel and exploration. I earned my bachelors degree at Hunter College in New York City, where I also studied journalism, film and media. I returned to Israel to attend medical school at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. I then moved to the beautiful Pacific North West to complete my internal medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University. The opportunity to continue and venture west to join The Alaska Hospitalist Group seemed too good to be true, and when not enjoying the company of my stellar colleagues or the great outdoors that Alaska has to offer, I intend to travel and visit my home country.
