I was born in Lebanon and I spent most of my life in Jordan, where I went to medical school at Jordan University of Science and Technology. I graduated in 2002, and shortly after that I decided to come to the states to pursue higher medical education.

I did my Internal Medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated in 2007. Then, I went to University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque to do my fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and I finished my training in June 2010. Being involved in teaching and medical education activities was the highlight of my residency and fellowship training.

Two of the previous fellows at University of New Mexico Hospital had been working in Anchorage around the time I was looking for a position following my fellowship. I came to Anchorage to interview in September 2009, and decided to join The Alaska Hospitalist Group as an Intensivist, as the position met my professional expectations.

In July 2010, I moved to Anchorage, and I have been pleasantly surprised with what the city has to offer, not to mention the welcoming nature of its people. I am definitely looking forward to enjoying my life and work experiences in Alaska.
