I lived in Alaska as a child. I suppose that it was the exposure to the truly great outdoors during those formative years that compels me to seek, and enables me to find, peace and inspiration in the wilderness here.

After completing training in 1998 I worked with a traditional internal medicine group in Anchorage until 2002, when several of us started the Alaska Hospitalist Group. As is readily apparent, there was a need for this model in Anchorage, and we have grown rapidly. I feel that we have positively transformed the practice of hospital medicine in this community. We have been fortunate to have so many interesting and inspiring colleagues join with us.

My interests include pack-rafting and traditional river rafting, skiing and a rare climbing trip. The wilderness that one can see! I have three children, and find great joy in camping with them.

Keep on living the dream…..
